“Tamiz Shahar” OJSC participates in the international exhibition

Activities of “Tamiz Shahar” OJSC are demonstrated at the “Caspian Ecology” 2018-9th Azerbaijan International Environmental Exhibition. These activities include recycling waste, generation of electricity from waste incineration and artworks prepared from waste. Exhibition is held at Baku Expo Center on 14-16 November by the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. Local companies and representatives of companies operating in Germany, Great Britain, Turkey, Ukraine and other countries are taking part in the environmental exhibition.
Exhibition stand of “Tamiz Shahar” OJSC demonstrates company’s efforts to protect the environment. Company dispatches waste materials for recycling by sorting them out in Balakhani Material Recovery Facility, while Balakhani Waste To Energy Plant generates electric power from solid waste incineration.
“Tamiz Shahar” OJSC is also involved to implement “Absheron Lakes Rehabilitation” project. The first stage in the rehabilitation of Boyukshor lake has already been completed. The 300 hectare area of the lake from 1000 hectare and its shore have been cleared from different types of waste.
Visitors also got acquainted with the social projects of “Tamiz Shahar” OJSC. One of these projects is “Waste to Art” International Art Exhibition, jointly implemented with Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Artworks by artists and sculptors from 42 countries have been exhibited in this fair during 7 exhibitions. Art pieces are collected in “Waste to Art” museum located in Gala Reserve once the exhibition is over. A virtual tour of the museum is organized for visitors. In addition, more than 20 exhibits from “Waste to Art” Museum have been displayed in the lobby of the Baku Expo Center where the exhibition was held.
