There was held a conference on the first anniversary of the 2009-2013 State Program on social-economic development of Azerbaijani regions on March 12. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan attended the event. State and government officials, chairmen of local and central executive power, representatives of international financial organizations and businessmen attended the conference too.
At first, the Head of the state cut the red ribbon concerning symbolic opening of Baku Business Centre built at National Boulevard. Then “The conference on the first anniversary of the 2009-2013 State Program on social-economic development of Azerbaijani regions” started. The exhibition of various products by approximately 200 local companies was organized at the exhibition hall of Baku Business Centre.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev saw the exhibition. The Head of the State was informed about enterprises of economic regions and the productions. While making speech at the conference, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev spoke about the importance of State Program appreciated deeply works done within the Program in 2009. The Head of State underlined that social-economic development of the regions will be supported in future.
While making speeches the Minister of Economic Development Sahin Mustafayev, chairmen of local executive powers and the holders gave information about work done and obtained results within State Program to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and to conference participants.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.Ilham Aliyev made final speech and noted that the policy aimed at comprehensive development of our country and proper welfare of the population will be continued after this. At the end the Head of the State gave specific instructions related to successful pursuing of this policy.
