“Ekos” prize will be instituted in Azerbaijan

“EkoSfera” Socia-Ecological Centre which has 10 year practice in the sphere of public ecological activity prepared a program for children and youths in the frames of “Year of Ecology” in 2010.
The program is dedicated to 22 April – International Earth Day. Head of the Centre, Furuza Sultanzade told Trend about it. According to her, this Program involves certain groups of children and school collectives, as well as student youths in studying, discussing and evaluating of ecological programs and projects carried out in Azerbaijan, exchange of information, as well as holding free actions and arrangements.
“EkoSfera” Socia-Ecological Centre jointly with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ecology Department of SOCAR, “Tamiz Shahar” JSC and “Orxus” Public Ecological Information Centre have instituted “Ekos children-youth public free ecological prize” for this Program.
The most relevant works related to strong environment will be chosen among the presented works in 2010” she said.
