“Tamiz Shahar” JSC celebrated International Children’s Day

On the 1st of June – International Children’s Day “Tamiz Shahar” JSC organized study tour with the purpose of entertaining and educating children.
Schoolchildren of the secondary school 193 first visited Baku Waste to Energy Plant and Balakhani Material Recovery Facility, and then took a trip to International Exhibition “From Waste to Art” located in Gala settlement.
The children visually got acquainted with ongoing processes by “Tamiz Shahar” JSC and learnt how to take care of the environment and how to save beauty and health of the nature by proper waste management. They were informed about the all processes step by step how precious materials and energy is produced from the delivered waste. All the questions were replied by the specialists and discussions were held with great interest.
Little ones exhibited artworks prepared from the waste materials in the exhibition of International Exhibition “From Waste to Art” established in 2015 with the support and initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. They understood that waste should not be neglected as unnecessary materials; they can be given second life as a source of raw material and energy and even they can be transformed into artworks.
All the exhibits from exhibition of “From Waste to Art” held during 2012-2015 years arouse great interest in the schoolchildren. Representatives of “Tamiz Shahar” JSC gave some advice to the children about how they can re-use waste materials. Little visitors said that they will share all they learnt with their friends.
