The Next Coastal Clean-up by IDEA and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC

Traditional clean-up campaign was held by IDEA Public Union and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC on the Buzovna beach in accordance with beach season opening and 5th June – World Environment Day.
The campaign was organized in support of “Global Partnership on Marine Litter” program of the United Nations.
More than 100 volunteers participated in the clean-up action with the motto “Keep the Coast Clear”. The major aim of the campaign is to prevent pollution and contamination of coastal areas and to raise public awareness on keeping these areas clean. Seaside pollution results not only in sanitary problems, but also in contamination of seas, ecology, flora and fauna.
The participants of the cleanup action were provided with the necessary sanitary equipment and at the end of the campaign collected waste was transported to the Balakhani Solid Waste Sorting Plant by special vehicles.
