French Secretary of State visited “Tamiz Shahar” JSC

A meeting was held at “Tamiz Shahar” JSC with the delegation led by Jean-Vincent Placé, French secretary of state reforms and simplification under the French Prime Minister of Republic of France, member of government and chairman of Ecologist Party.

Deputy Minister of Economy Niyazi Safarov emphasized development of French-Azerbaijani relations and highlighted successful participation of French companies in different fields, also in environmental projects in our country. It was mentioned that, successful cooperation was performed with French company CNIM in establishment of Baku Waste to Energy Plant which is built with 4th generation technology.

French Secretary of State Jean-Vincent expressed his satisfaction on the relations between French and Azerbaijani companies and talked about the potential expansion of collaboration between them.

Etibar Abbasov, Chairman of Executive Board of “Tamiz Shahar” JSC provided detailed information about the activities of Company in waste management, as well as the proceedings on rehabilitation of the largest lake in Absheron Peninsula, Boyukshor. It was mentioned that, 300 ha area was rehablitated in the first phase of the project, oil contaminated bottom sediments were removed, Boyukshor Promenade and Boulevard was built approximately in 15 ha area for Baku residents.

Ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Ms. Aurelia Bouchez expressed that favourable conditions were created for collaboration with foreign investors, as well as with French companies in Azerbaijan and stressed involvement of French companies in the projects implemented by “Tamiz Shahar” JSC and great importance of such projects.

Alan Carbonell, Head of the company “Suez Azerbaijan” who also took part in this meeting, informed that feasibility study of North Shore of Boyukshor in more than 130 ha was assigned to them and expressed his satisfaction about project implementation.
