In connection with the “World Environment Day” a clean-up action has been organized

Traditional clean-up action was organized by IDEA Public Union and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC on the 10th of June on the Novkhani beach in connection with the “World Environment Day” and the opening of the beach season.
The main goal of the event, with the participation of more than 200 volunteers, is to promote coastal cleanliness, to prevent coastal pollution and to involve all young people to protect marine environment.
The participants of the clean-up action equipped with the necessary sanitary supplies identified most commonly observed waste after sorting out collected waste. In order to make the waste collection process more efficient, specific equipment have also been involved to the area. Afterwards, the waste was sent to the Balakhani Material Recovery Facility by special vehicles.
The clean-up action aroused public interest, people of different age groups from private organizations and diplomatic missions in our country, as well as from high schools and secondary schools such as Baku State University, Azerbaijan Cooperation University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Baku Slavic University, Baku Oxford School, Oxbridge Academy, Baku European Lyceum involved in the IDEA initiative voluntarily.
It should also be noted that representatives of executive power of Binagadi district took part in the action.
IDEA Public Union, which pays special attention to public awareness campaigns, regularly organizes such clean-up actions with local and international partners on the Caspian shores, as well as on the rivers in order to preserve, to enhance and to protect the Caspian Sea bio resources.
Taking into account the negative impact of waste, including its damage to biodiversity, IDEA Public Union and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC call on everyone to stop pollution of the Planet and to take care of the environment!
