Summer camp organized by ADA University and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC has ended.

Summer camp organized for schoolchildren by ADA University and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC has ended. During four weeks schoolchildren participated in different lectures, practical training and study tours dedicated to waste management, environmental protection, etc.
Final event of the summer camp was held by the representatives of ADA University and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC on the 28th of July. In this event participants shared their knowledge and experience they gained during camp and were awarded with certifications.
It should be noted that summer camp was organized on 3-28 July with 4 groups comprising more than 30 young people in each group.
During this time, schoolchildren participated in the trainings about waste management and environmental protection, got acquainted with working process at Balakhani Material Recovery Facility, Baku Waste to Energy Plant and Balakhani Industrial Park. Some master classes were organized where schoolchildren made useful things from different waste. Seminars about alternative energy were organized at “Tamiz Shahar” JSC and schoolchildren were taken to study tour at the International Museum “From Waste to Art” located in Gala settlement.
At the same time, participants visited Boyukshor promenade and were informed about rehabilitation process here. They were trained on communication, media, photography, computer software and on other subjects. Campers had a chance to improve logical thinking skills, to expand their outlook and to make new friends in the camp which consisted of educational and creative programs.
