Secretary-General of UNO visited Balakhani Industrial Park

Secretary-General of UNO and Executive Secretary of United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, Olqa Algayerova visited Azerbaijan and got closely acquainted with the operation of Balakhani Industrial Park.
Chairman of the Executive Board of “Tamiz Shahar” JSC, Etibar Abbasov informed the Secretary-General about the activity of the company, the work done towards the development of the non-oil industry in the country, opportunities created for investors in industrial parks and zones. It was noted that a favorable environment has been created in Balakhani Industrial Park for entrepreneurs who are interested in recycling. 5 residents are currently operating in the fields of recycling motor oils, paper, and cardboard, plastic products, waste sponge. 9 residents registered in the other 11 fields of production will start soon.
Secretary-General of UNO, Olga Algayerova highlighted the importance of such industrial parks in providing sustainable development of the country, therefore she highly appreciated the work of the Balakhani Industrial Park.
