The 7th International “From Waste to Art” Exhibition took place in Gala settlement within the framework of Nasimi Festival of Poetry, Art and Spirituality.

Artworks created in the framework of the 7th International “From Waste to Art” Exhibition were presented at Gala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum on September 30.
Vice-president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and director of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva attended the event.
The exhibition was organized by “Tamiz Shahar” JSC with the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in partnership with “Icherisheher” State Historic-Architectural Reserve Department and “Q Gallery” arts gallery. Artworks by 27 art representatives from 12 countries – Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Romania, Bahrain, Oman, Iran, Latvia, Bosnia and Herzegovina were demonstrated in the exhibition. Artworks made from municipal wastes drew people’s attention.

The idea of the exhibition was to call the people to think twice before throwing away trash that is considered worthless and to keep the environment clean.
