There was held a festival in Qala Historical and Ethnographic Reserve at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

With a view to immortalizing Azerbaijani people’s historical past, old and perfect living traditions, letting people know about them and propagandizing them among the people, today there was held “Qala festival” at the territory of Qala Historical and Ethnographic Reserve by the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Since III millennium, five thousands year old settlement includes barrows, tombs, households, mausoleums, bath-houses, rest of ancient century belonging to the XX century. Some of housing estates laid in Qala during past have been preserved up to day.
The first Outdoor Archeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex established by the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in 2008 incorporates not only local historical and cultural monuments, but also other archeological findings found out in Absheron region. The living and other architectural monuments belonging to III-II millennium BC have been restored as their primary appearance.
Just today, waste management project has been started in Qala Historical and Ethnographic Reserve based on joint project of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC. The project is focus on the establishment of the system on waste collection, transportation and disposal in accordance with up-to-date standards.
