Exhibition “Independent Azerbaijan in 20 years” was held in Baku

A national exhibition under the name of “Independent Azerbaijan in 20 years”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the restoration of state independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been opened at the Baku Exhibition Centre on September 27, 2011. According to the information given by Azer TAG, the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited the exhibition. Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev spoke about the indicators for 2003-2011, a period of rapid economic development of our country and informed about exhibition participants.
When reviewing the pavilion of “Tamiz Shahar” JSC, the head of the state was informed that the organization carrying out disposal and utilization of waste in compliance with modern standards is doing important work to improve the environmental situation in the capital. These measures include the ongoing construction of waste-to-energy plant . The stands provide complete information about the work in the Gala settlement within the framework of “Tamiz Gala” project that is implemented with the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Over 130 enterprises, organizations and companies have participated in the exhibition lasting for 3 days. Covering a total area of 11,000 square meters, the exhibition demonstrated the progress Azerbaijan has made in the past 20 years, including the spheres of industry, fuel and energy, information technology, agriculture, transport, environment, tourism, construction, healthcare, education, culture, etc.
